Inserting Files

Inserting images

  1. Click the story number of the story in which you would like to insert an image.
  2. Click the Object Gallery Object Gallery icon. A pop-up window will appear.
  3. In the left pane of the pop-up window, navigate to the folder that contains the image you want to insert.
    You will see the contents of the selected directory in the right window pane.
  4. From here you have two options:
    1. To insert the image only into your story:
      • Position your mouse over the image.
      • Click and hold your left mouse button down.
      • Keep holding the mouse button and drag the cursor to the position in your edit area intended for the image.
      • Release the mouse.
      • Once the image is in the story, you can click and drag to re-position, or double-click for image properties.
    2. To insert both the image and image description into your story:
      • Position your mouse to the right of the image description.
      • Click and hold your left mouse button down.
      • Keep holding the mouse button down and drag the cursor to the top left corner of the image to highlight both the image and description. You will see a blue highlight over both.
      • Click and hold the mouse button and drag the cursor to the position in your edit area intended for the image and description.
      • Release the mouse.
      • The image and description appears inside a table in the story.  
        You can then reposition or edit the table properties.

Inserting files

To insert a non-image file (e.g. PDF):

  1. Click the story number of the story in which you would like to insert a file.
  2. Click the Object Gallery Object Gallery icon. A pop-up window will appear.
  3. In the left pane of the pop-up window, navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to insert. 
    You will see the contents of the selected directory in the right window pane.
  4. Using your cursor, select any of the file icon, name and size that you want to display on your page.
  5. Keep holding the mouse button and drag the cursor to the position in your edit area intended for the file.
  6. Release the mouse.
  7. Once the file is in the story, you can edit the name and details as required.


Note: Non-image files will automatically open in a new browser window or tab.
